Combining Stampin’ Up! with other brands
When my Father had his 75th birthday I made him a special card. Previously, I had invested in some Lawn Fawn dies: The Reveal Wheel. It creates a lovely interactive card and I decided to combine it with the Ride With Me Stamp Set and the Truck Ride Dies.
I followed the instructions from Lawn Fawn to assemble the reveal wheel part and decided to put it on an easel card.
The front of the reveal wheel I colored using my blending brushes. I then simply adhered the elements on the card with some dimensionals.
It Runs In The Family
My Father loved the card. But more so, my little nephew really really really loved the card. He loved it so much he asked me if I could make him one for his birthday. Of course I wanted to do that, but wouldn’t he like this card for his birthday party invitations. Well, that he agreed on immediately.
So I made him not 1 but 11 card. Instead of some English words in the reveal wheel window, I stamped a few Dutch words (Birthday) …
… (Party).
… and some symbols.
I found a matching sentiment: “Time to Party! Are You Coming?”.
To let the children know who’s party it is, I die-cut the letters of my nephews name and adhered them to the stopper part of the easel card.
My nephew approved the card, so I made 10 more.
Matching Gift Box
To be able to gift the invitations to my nephew I made a nice matching box.
I die-cut his name out with the Hand-Lettered Prose dies and decorated the sides of the box with them.
He was so happy with the invitations. ?
