Color Challenge
As part of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challange by Kathy Racoosin, I colored some Feathers in Rainbow colors. The picture is from an Action Sketch Colouringbook.
I used my Arteza Watercolor Pencils and an Aquapainter to blend the colors.
I love how colorful the feathers look. When I finished coloring the feathers yesterday, I had no idea what to do with them and as always I had no courage to cut the sheet up.
Gift Box
Today, however I felt bold and creative and I decided to fussy cut one of the feathers and use it as a topper on a small giftbox.
I chose Melon Mambo for the giftbox. I made a simple giftbox with a hinged lid out of one sheet of paper.
The shower foam bottle fits exactly in the box.
To match the box with the feather, I stamped some small feather on it with Melon Mambo ink.
Matching Giftbag
I could have stopt there. But as always, I wanted to make a giftbag. I chose a sheet of 12” x 12” paper from an Action paperback.
This sheet has leaves and feathers printed in black on a white background.
With seven colors of ink I colored the paper in rainbow order: Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel and Gorgeous Grape. I used my blending brushes to apply the ink to the paper and to blend the colors.
For the handles I used rushed Melon Mambo ribbon from the “Everything Is Rosy” product medley.
The sides of the bag fold in at the top of the bag and fan out towards the bottom.
To keep the bag closed I used a velcro dot.
I made a small tag and stamped one of the sentiments from the 2019 Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.
I am so happy with these bright and colorful gifts. I have gifted these to a colleague and friend, and she was very happy with them.
