Boxes for all occasions
I love making boxes. Long before I joined Stampin’ Up!, even as a child, I used to make lots of boxes. The boxes were often meant for gifting beaded jewelry. I used to make a lot of beaded jewelery. I wish I still did, so I had something to put in my new boxes.?
Beautiful Birthday Box
Earlier this month my upline had her birthday and I knit her some colorful socks. A very good reason to make a box. I used products from the Happiness Blooms Suite for the box and matching card and envelope. The box is not only sized to fit the socks but also so that one of the larger Happiness Blooms Memories & More cards fits perfectly on the lid of the box. The box is made from Lovely Lipsick Cardstock and all the sides are reinforced. On de bottom of the box I put a piece of Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper in one of the matching colors, Night of Navy.
The lid of the box was made from Night of Navy Cardsock and also has reinforced sides. On top of the lid is put a large Happiness Blooms Memories & More card with a fitting sentiment. The Night of Navy dots are also from the Happiness Blooms Suite.
I used a retired ribbon (Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon) to keep the box closed.
Bloom By Bloom Happy Birthday Card
Of course, I had to make a matching card. The card base is Night of Navy. The Lovely Lipstick mat is Embossed with the Dot To Dot embossing folder. This folder is also part of the Happiness Blooms Suite. I used the Bloom by Bloom stamp set and the colors Night of Navy, Lovely Lipstick and Calypso Coral to stamp a piece of Whisper white paper. The strips on the sides of the stamped paper are pieces of Lovely Lipstick Foil. The foil sheets are part of one of the free Sale-A-Bration items.
Again, I used a piece of retired Night of Navy Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon as embellishment. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from the Stamp Set Amazing Life.
On the inside of the card I also put some strips of Lovely Lipstick Foil next to a mat of Whisper White Paper.
Bloom By Bloom matching Envelope
With the Envelope Punch Board I made a matching envelope out of Lovely Lipstick Cardstock. On a piece of Whisper White paper I stamped the small flowers from the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set in Night of Navy and Lovely Lipstick. I used some Non-Stampin’ Up! letter dies to from the name on the front of the envelope.
My upline was very happy with the present. Job well done!
