Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Snowy Christmas Card

Christmas Trees

I wanted to do something different with the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the Pine Tree Punch. I decided to create a mask with the Pine Tree Punch. I punched out three Pine Trees out of a piece of whisper white cardstock. I used that mask to ink  trees on a card front. I used sponge daubers to ink the trees in three different colors.

Masking Technique

Then I punched out three trees out of masking paper and used them to cover the trees. With a blender brush I inked a dark sky behind the trees in three different blue colors.

When the ink was dry, I stamped one of the tree images in Versamark on the three inked trees and heat embossed in white.

Snowy Christmas Card

Under the trees I made some snowy hills with stitched wavy dies. To embellish the card I used the fine tip glue to trace the hills, and the trees and sprinkle it with Ice Stampin’ Glitter. To make snow in the sky I used a white gelpen to make a lot of dots. The big sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set finishes the card.

30 Day Color Challenge

I did a lot of masking and coloring and it took a while to finish the card, but I think it’s worth it. At Least the coloring counts for Day 24 of the 30 day coloring challenge.
